Overview

As a UX/UI Design Leader, you will guide and mentor a talented design team, manage project scopes, and align design strategy with business goals for our educational products. You will ensure high-quality execution, foster a positive team culture, and drive impactful design solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the design team’s workload and allocate tasks effectively to meet project goals.

  • Lead and mentor UX/UI designers, fostering their professional growth and skill development.

  • Build and sustain a high-performing, well-rounded design team through recruitment and team-building.

  • Develop and implement design strategies that align with complex business objectives and goals.

  • Ensure high-quality design outcomes by resolving issues, dependencies, and conflicts.

  • Maintain and refine design processes to support successful project execution.

  • Advocate for the design team’s priorities and represent their needs to higher management.

  • Partner with design leadership to shape practices and mentor other design leaders.

  • Conduct user research to inform and validate design decisions, contributing to strategic planning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • 5+ years in UX/UI design with at least 1 years in a leadership role.

  • Proven experience managing and mentoring a team of UX/UI designers.

  • Strong portfolio showcasing expertise and successful design strategies in UX/UI.

  • Ability to lead through ambiguity and build alignment with senior leaders.

  • Holistic thinking to identify impactful customer experience opportunities across the organization.

  • Proficiency in articulating ideas and design solutions effectively.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of design principles, methodologies, and best practices.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate ideas into actionable strategies.

  • Effective communication and storytelling skills for advocacy and stakeholder influence.
